Welcome to the newly updated Kid’s Climbing Club! All of our classes will now be lesson-based, so all students can improve their skills, set age appropriate goals, and CLIMB! Also, each class size is limited to 10 participants, ensuring each student gets one-on-one instruction and plenty of active learning time.
Sessions are six weeks long and consist of a one hour lesson each week. Each lesson will be pre-planned by our talented UWSP Climbing Wall Staff, specifically for the students in that class. All classes will have a 1:5 staff member to student ratio. We recommend students to arrive about 15 minutes prior to their session start time to stretch and get their gear prepared to ensure a full hour of climbing (all gear is provided and included in the class price).
All students must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the lesson time per our UWSP Climbing Wall policy. We will have a seating area specifically for you to watch your student learn to climb! This is a great opportunity to see your student’s accomplishments and cheer them on along the way.

Welcome to the UW-Stevens Point Climbing Competition! We host this competition every year so that new and experienced climbers alike can climb together with the chance to meet new people, win some cool prizes, and spend an afternoon climbing sweet routes. The UWSP comp is part of the Wisconsin Indoor Climbing Series (WICS). Find out more here: http://uwl-web.com/climbwi/events/event/uw-stevens-point-2/
We have been inspired by the other comps in the Wisconsin Indoor Climbing Series by their generosity to the community, so we are following suit with a food drive. We have a great campus program called the’Cupboard’ which is a food pantry that is exclusively open to UWSP students to help them through tough financial times. Some things on their wish list include: canned fruits and veggies, peanut butter, canned beans, pasta, rice, soap, and shampoos. If you would like to contribute, we’ll be collecting the day of competition so please bring if you can!
Every climber needs to fill out a waiver the day of the comp if one isn’t already on file. If the climber isn’t 18, then a parent or guardian needs to be present to sign a waiver for them.
